Buyer Requests

Cannot find exactly what you are looking for? Submit a Buyer Request to let sellers know what you need. Sellers browse buyer requests and reach out if they have matching vehicles. This is a powerful way to discover inventory that may not be publicly listed yet.

What is a Buyer Request?

A Buyer Request is a "wanted" posting where you describe:

  • The type of vehicle you need
  • Your budget range
  • Specific requirements and preferences
  • Your timeline for purchase
  • Quantity needed (single or fleet)

Once submitted, your request becomes visible to sellers on the platform who can contact you with matching vehicles from their inventory.

Creating a Buyer Request

Step 1: Access Buyer Requests

Navigate to the buyer requests section:

  1. Click Buyer Requests in the main navigation
  2. Or go to Account > My Buyer Requests
  3. Click Create Request button

Step 2: Basic Information

Fill in the essential details:

Write Clear Titles

A good title helps sellers quickly understand your needs. Include key requirements like fuel type, year range, or specific use case.

Step 3: Specifications

Add detailed requirements:

Year & Condition:

  • Year range (e.g., 2018-2023)
  • Acceptable conditions (New, Used, Refurbished)
  • Maximum mileage

Technical Requirements:

  • Fuel type (Diesel, Electric, etc.)
  • Transmission preference
  • Emission standard (e.g., Euro 6)
  • Engine power range
  • Drive configuration

Features & Equipment:

  • Must-have features
  • Preferred equipment
  • Cabin type (for trucks)

Step 4: Additional Details

Provide context that helps sellers respond appropriately:

Step 5: Contact Preferences

Choose how sellers can reach you:

  • Platform Messages Only - Most secure option
  • Email - Allow sellers to email you
  • Phone - Share phone number for calls
  • WhatsApp - Enable WhatsApp contact

Privacy

Your contact details are only shared according to your selected preferences. You control what information sellers can see.

Step 6: Review & Submit

  1. Review all entered information
  2. Check for accuracy and completeness
  3. Click Submit Request
  4. Your request goes live immediately

Here is a well-written buyer request example:

Title: Looking for Euro 6 Long-Haul Trucks - Fleet Purchase

Category: Trucks > Tractor Units

Budget: EUR 80,000 - 120,000 per unit

Description:

We are a logistics company expanding our fleet for international routes. Looking for reliable trucks that meet the following requirements:

Must Have:

  • Euro 6 emission standard (required)
  • Sleeper cabin for long-haul routes
  • 500+ HP engine
  • Full service history available
  • No accident damage

Preferred:

  • Automatic or semi-automatic transmission
  • Fleet management telematics installed

Managing Your Requests

My Requests Dashboard

View and manage all your requests:

  1. Go to Account > My Buyer Requests
  2. See list of all requests with status
  3. View responses received
  4. Track request expiration dates

Request Status

Editing Requests

Modify an active request:

  1. Open the request from your dashboard
  2. Click Edit
  3. Make necessary changes
  4. Save updates

Changes take effect immediately and sellers see the updated version.

Pausing Requests

Temporarily hide a request without closing it:

  1. Open the request
  2. Click Pause
  3. Request is hidden from sellers
  4. Resume anytime to make it visible again

Closing Requests

When you no longer need offers:

  1. Open the request
  2. Click Close Request
  3. Choose close reason:
    • Fulfilled - You found a vehicle
    • No longer needed - Requirements changed
    • Other reason
  4. Optionally provide feedback

Deleting Requests

Remove a request entirely:

  1. Open the request
  2. Click Delete
  3. Confirm deletion
  4. Request is permanently removed

Deletion is Permanent

Deleting a request removes all associated responses. Consider closing instead if you may want to reference the information later.

Receiving Responses

Response Notifications

You will be notified when sellers respond:

  • Platform notifications - Badge on your account icon
  • Email notifications - If enabled in settings
  • SMS notifications - If enabled and available

Viewing Responses

Access responses from your request dashboard:

  1. Click on your request
  2. View Responses section
  3. Each response shows:
    • Seller information and Trust Score
    • Proposed vehicle details
    • Price offered
    • Message from seller
    • Vehicle photos (if provided)

Each seller response includes:

Respond Professionally

Even if you are not interested, a brief polite response helps maintain good platform relations. A simple "Thank you, but this does not match my requirements" is sufficient.

Best Practices

Writing Effective Requests

Be Specific and Detailed

The more details you provide, the better matches you will receive. Vague requests lead to irrelevant responses.

Good: "Euro 6 Volvo FH 460-540 HP, 2019-2023, under 400,000 km, automatic, sleeper cab"

Too vague: "Looking for a truck"

Set Realistic Budget

Include a realistic budget range that matches current market prices. This attracts serious sellers with appropriate inventory.

Explain Your Use Case

Describe how you will use the vehicle. Sellers may suggest better options or highlight relevant features you had not considered.

List Priorities

Distinguish between must-have requirements and nice-to-have preferences. This helps sellers understand where they can offer alternatives.

Include Quantity

If buying multiple vehicles, state this clearly. Fleet purchases often attract better pricing and seller attention.

Maximizing Responses

Timing:

  • Submit requests during business hours
  • Allow 1-2 weeks for comprehensive responses
  • Respond promptly to seller inquiries

  • Use accurate, searchable terms
  • Include relevant keywords

Your active request is visible to:

  • All active sellers on the platform
  • Sellers with matching category inventory (prioritized)

Request Duration

Requests remain active for:

  • Default: 30 days
  • You can close anytime
  • Extend duration from your dashboard
