Menon Mobility offers powerful search tools to help you find the perfect commercial vehicle. This comprehensive guide covers all the ways to search, filter, and discover listings.

Search Methods

Quick Search Bar

The search bar at the top of every page provides instant access to listings:

• Keywords: Search by make, model, or any relevant terms (e.g., "Volvo FH 500")
• Autocomplete: Get suggestions as you type based on popular searches
• Smart Matching: Results include listings that match your keywords in title, brand, model, or description

Search Tips

Use specific terms for better results. For example, "Mercedes Actros 2545" will yield more targeted results than just "Mercedes truck".

Category Browsing

Navigate through vehicle categories for structured browsing:

1. Click Categories in the main navigation
2. Select a main category:
   • Trucks
   • Trailers
   • Construction Equipment
   • Vans & LCV
   • Cars
   • Agricultural
   • Containers
   • Parts
   • Industrial Equipment
3. Choose a subcategory to narrow down further

Listing Type Toggle

Switch between different listing types:

• For Sale - Vehicles available for purchase
• For Rent - Vehicles available for rental (daily, weekly, monthly rates)

Search Filters

Access the full filter panel by clicking the Filters button on the search page.

Category & Type Filters

Filter	Description
Category	Main vehicle category (Trucks, Trailers, etc.)
Subcategory	Specific vehicle type (Tractor Units, Box Trucks, etc.)
Brand	Manufacturer (Volvo, Mercedes-Benz, Scania, MAN, DAF, etc.)
Model	Specific model within the selected brand

Dynamic Filters

Brand and model options update dynamically based on your selected category, showing only relevant choices.

Price & Financial Filters

Filter	Description
Price Range	Set minimum and maximum price
Currency	Prices are converted to your selected currency for filtering

Condition & Age Filters

Location Filters

Filter	Description
Country	Filter by specific country
City	Narrow down to specific city
Radius Search	Search within a distance from a location

Radius Search

The radius search feature allows you to find vehicles near a specific location:

1. Click on the Location filter section
2. Enter a location or use My Location to use your current position
3. Select a search radius:
   • 25 km
   • 50 km
   • 100 km
   • 200 km
   • 500 km
   • 1000 km
4. Results will be sorted by distance with distance shown on each listing

Geolocation

Enable location permissions in your browser to use the "Near Me" feature for finding vehicles close to your current position.

Category-Specific Filters

When you select a specific category, additional relevant filters appear:

For Trucks:

• Cab type (Day cab, Sleeper cab, etc.)
• GVW (Gross Vehicle Weight)
• Body type

For Construction Equipment:

• Operating hours
• Equipment type
• Attachment compatibility

For Industrial Equipment:

• Power output (kW)
• Type (Generators, Pumps, Compressors, etc.)

Seller Filters

Filter	Description
Verified Only	Show only verified seller listings
Minimum Trust Score	Filter by seller Trust Score

Sorting Results

Sort your search results by:

Sort Option	Description
Newest First	Most recently listed vehicles
Oldest First	Listings added longest ago
Price: Low to High	Cheapest first
Price: High to Low	Most expensive first
Year: Newest	Newest model years first
Year: Oldest	Oldest model years first
Distance	Nearest to your location (requires location filter)

View Options

Choose how results are displayed:

Grid View

Card-based layout showing:

• Main photo
• Title and price
• Key specifications
• Location
• Featured badge (if applicable)
• Quick action buttons (Favorite, Compare)

List View

Detailed row layout with:

• Larger image
• More specifications visible
• Full seller information
• Extended description preview

Map View

Interactive map showing:

• Vehicle locations as markers
• Click markers to see listing details
• Cluster view for dense areas
• Filter results while viewing map

Featured Listings

Featured listings appear:

• At the top of search results
• With a distinctive gold border
• In premium positions throughout results

No Results

If your search returns no results:

• Try broadening your filters
• Check for spelling in keyword searches
• Remove some filter criteria
• Featured listings may be shown as suggestions

Saving Searches

Save your search criteria for quick access later:

Creating a Saved Search

1. Set your desired filters on the search page
2. Click Save Search button
3. Enter a name for your search (e.g., "Euro 6 Tractors Under 100K")
4. Choose alert frequency:
   • No Alerts - Save only, no notifications
   • Daily Alerts - Email once per day with new matches
   • Weekly Alerts - Weekly digest of new matches
5. Click Save

Managing Saved Searches

Access your saved searches:

1. Click Account in the navigation
2. Select Saved Searches
3. View all saved searches with:
   • Search name
   • Filter summary
   • Alert frequency
   • Creation date

Search Alert Best Practices

Create multiple saved searches with different criteria to monitor various options. For example, save one search for your ideal specifications and another with broader criteria.

Recently Viewed

Access vehicles you have recently viewed:

1. Click Account in the navigation
2. Select Recently Viewed
3. Browse your viewing history

This feature helps you:

• Return to listings you were interested in
• Track your browsing progress
• Find listings you forgot to save

Mobile Search Experience

The mobile experience includes:

• Full filter access - All filters available in slide-out panel
• Swipe navigation - Swipe through search results
• Touch-friendly - Large buttons for easy interaction
• Quick actions - One-tap favorite and compare
• Map view - Full-screen map with your location

Search Tips & Best Practices

Start Broad, Then Narrow

Begin with basic filters like category and price range. Add more filters as needed. Too many filters may exclude good options.

Use Multiple Categories

Some vehicles may fit multiple categories. A refrigerated truck might be listed under "Refrigerated Trucks" or "Box Trucks". Check related subcategories if your search yields few results.

Set Realistic Criteria

Very specific requirements (e.g., exact year AND exact mileage AND specific color) may yield few or no results. Prioritize your most important criteria.

Save Different Searches

Create saved searches for different scenarios:

• "Ideal Match" - Your perfect specifications
• "Backup Options" - Broader criteria
• "Budget Option" - Lower price range

Use Radius Search

If you are willing to travel for the right vehicle, use radius search to find options within your acceptable range.
