Creating Vehicle Listings

This comprehensive guide walks you through creating effective vehicle listings that attract serious buyers and generate quality inquiries. A well-crafted listing can mean the difference between a quick sale and a vehicle sitting unsold for months.

Before You Start

Gather Your Information

Before creating a listing, have the following ready:

  • [ ] Vehicle registration documents
  • [ ] Service history and maintenance records
  • [ ] Mileage/hours reading
  • [ ] VIN (Vehicle Identification Number)
  • [ ] List of features and equipment
  • [ ] Any damage or issues to disclose
  • [ ] 12+ high-quality photos (we'll cover this in detail)
  • [ ] Your asking price (researched against market)

Research First

Before setting your price, browse similar listings on the platform to understand market rates. Overpriced listings receive significantly fewer views and inquiries.

Access the Listing Form

You can create a new listing from multiple locations:

  1. Dashboard Overview - Click the "+ Add New Listing" button
  2. Sidebar Navigation - Click "Add Listing" in the sidebar menu

  • DON'T: "Truck, good condition, call me"

Recommended Title Format:

Professional-Quality Photos

Follow these tips for photos that sell:

Preparation:

  • Clean the vehicle thoroughly inside and out
  • Remove all personal items and debris
  • Park on a clean, uncluttered surface
  • Choose an appropriate background (avoid distracting elements)

Lighting:

  • Shoot during daylight hours (cloudy days reduce harsh shadows)
  • Avoid direct midday sun (causes harsh shadows)
  • Never use flash for exterior shots
  • Ensure interior is well-lit (open all doors if needed)

Composition:

  • Fill the frame with the vehicle
  • Keep the camera level (no tilted angles)
  • Shoot from a consistent height
  • Include surrounding space for context

Technical:

  • Use highest quality camera setting
  • Avoid digital zoom (reduces quality)
  • Hold camera steady or use a tripod
  • Take multiple shots and select the best

Photo Don'ts

  • No watermarks or logos on photos
  • No excessive filters or editing
  • No photos with people's faces visible
  • No photos of documents with personal information
  • No screenshots of other listings
  • No stock photos

Uploading Photos

  1. Click "Add Photos" or "Upload Images"
  2. Select files from your device or drag and drop
  3. Wait for upload and processing
  4. Reorder by dragging thumbnails

FieldRequiredNotes
CountryYesWhere vehicle is physically located

  • Hidden - Shows country/region only, reveal on inquiry

Location Affects Search

Buyers often filter by distance. Accurate location ensures you appear in relevant local searches.

Multiple Locations

If you have vehicles at different sites:

  • Each listing can have its own location
  • Set a default location for quick entry
  • Update location if vehicle moves

Step 7: Description

A compelling description can significantly increase inquiries. This is your opportunity to tell the vehicle's story and address buyer questions proactively.

Description Structure

Follow this proven structure for effective descriptions:

1. OPENING HOOK
   - Key selling points in first two sentences
   - Why this vehicle stands out

2. VEHICLE HISTORY
